Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data The DXP Scorecard collects, why, and what happens with it.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (via Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors use the site — which platforms they view, how they navigate the comparison tools, and where traffic comes from. This data helps us prioritise scoring updates and improvements.

Analytics cookies are only set after you explicitly accept them via the banner on your first visit. If you decline, no analytics cookies are placed and no tracking occurs. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this domain.

What Google collects

IP addresses are anonymised. Data is processed by Google under their own privacy terms. We do not use Google's advertising or remarketing features.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to the DXP Scorecard newsletter, your email address and any optional preferences you provide (role, interests) are stored by Beehiiv, our email platform. We use this to send platform score updates, market analysis, and occasional announcements.

Beehiiv may collect engagement data (opens, clicks) associated with your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email. Unsubscribing removes you from future sends but Beehiiv may retain a suppression record.

Cookies

Strictly necessary

We store your cookie consent choice in your browser's local storage (dxp_cookie_consent). This is not a tracking cookie — it exists only to remember whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we don't ask again on every visit.

Analytics (optional)

If you accept analytics, Google Analytics sets cookies (prefixed _ga) to distinguish unique visitors and sessions. These persist for up to 2 years. No analytics cookies are set before consent is given.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or EU, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you. In practice, the only personal data we hold is your email address if you subscribed to the newsletter.

To unsubscribe or request data deletion, use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email or contact us directly.

This site uses the following third-party services:

Each of these services operates under their own privacy policies. We do not control how they process data beyond our configuration of their services.
